Support for First Responders

The 19th District is home to many dedicated current and retired first responders, and their families, who put their lives on the line every day. 

As your State Representative, Lindsey has been an advocate for our first responders to make sure they have the support and resources they need to keep our communities safe. That is why she championed legislation providing funding for behavioral health services for first responders – including firefighters, police officers and dispatchers.

Additionally, Lindsey has fought for more resources for technology, recruitment and retention, spousal death benefits and is a supporter of a Chicago casino as a pathway to stabilize first responder pensions in Chicago.
